one last thing I want to clear:
I am not "antagonistic toward the scripture." I memorized more scripture in my F day than any woman I knew then. You can use the word and the sword any way you want and wish to. It is not in the sword, but in the hand that wields it.
I am antagonistic toward people who say they are christians and use scriptures in ways that promote anything but healing for the ones who happen to have been very hurt by other 'christians'. I write provocatively about it because it seems to me provocation and satire are the only sure way to get through to some christian dinosaurs.
Rocky quotes scriptures. His scriptures do not sting. A soft tongue breaketh the bone, but a wounded spirit who can heal? Even this bitch/witch (what a sense of humor) can quote scriptures. :)
So does Miguel. Jude is a scripture scholar. They have not used scripture to minimize or intellectualize or christianize the plight of the downtrodden.
