The best way to get into the musseum (yes! there is always a long line) is to get up early and buy the ticket for later. There is a line but much smaller then and one can pick the time for a visit and just walk right in. The musseum is one of the few things in the world I consider worthy to visit.
The few times I have been in Washington DC I have had tried to go. It is the most cathartic experience I have ever had. It is such a strong experience that people should go alone and absorb it. The terrible things man can do to man, as terrible as they are, result in a forceful understanding of why evil must be exposed with the truth.
