I joined in August of 1970 in LA. I stayed in LA for almost an entire year before being shipped off to TSC and then to other parts of the US. Only made it to Mexico and then went "independent" around 1975. I'm sure I know alot of the folks you knew back then.
I've got some great vivid memories of the 5th & Towne hell-hole. I'm sorry to hear that you stayed in for so long, but in my own way I followed the "prophet" for another 8 years until I was able to come to my senses.
These boards have really helped me come to terms with a lot of the shit in my life left over - and ongoing - from my experiences with the Children of God.
Glad you decided to post - keep it up!
