I feel exactly the same. That's why I wrote my article. I would love every person in the family to just break loose and quit believing the lies. In fact, it really does concern me that when people leave, they think all hell is going to break loose over them because somehow they have not measured up, they've failed, that somehow they're not as good as people in the family because they can't keep the family standards, and that God is not going to bless them. When I sense that in people, I just want to throw up because I never went through one moment of that kind of thinking and I know it's such a huge deceit for them to think like that. If ever there's a time you need to believe in God's goodness and that he's absolutely there for you, it is when you leave the family. But you can't make people see the truth. You just have to hope they do. Pray for them.
