Thanks for the response Kathy!
I certainly agree with you. It took awhile for me to realize that what I had believed and acted on in the family was not the living truth. The longer I was out, the more clear it became. It was a painful process for me. I also really agree with your point on education and slave labour. We sometimes forget how great a dis-service and sin the education issue has been.
I also think the boards are great for working things out and supporting each other as we move back into real life away from the pain of the family. I hope I don't come across as not caring for family members but I feel I must speak out against the abuse and challenge others as well as myself to look closely at what the family teaches and forces upon its members.
I truly believe that current members are not our enemies. They are our friends, families, sons and daughters. They are from us and in us all and it is an ongoing heartbreak to see what everyone has suffered and is suffering as a result of Berg's doctrines. My dream is that every member will come to the point where they can get out and have what is left of their lives restored.( forgive my windbagginess on this issue!)
