Thanks so much for writing. Yes, I do dabble in writing and poetry, but I've had writer's block for the past year. There's just been too much going on in my life.
I'm so sorry to hear about your connection with your mother. It's bad enough on my end, but I can't even imagine how it must be affecting you as the child. That's the worse scenario.
Well, if it's any comfort, there are plenty of us parents out here that greatly admire and respect all that you are doing today, against so many, many odds. You have my hearty vote of approval and confidence in your capabilities.
I'm sure that you are weeping inside for what could have been and should have been. However, maybe you can take heart in that you are not alone and this happens in many circles, not just our cult environment.
Sadly, though, this probably wouldn't have happened had we not been caught up in such an all encompassing, mind altering cult. That's why I feel we are all responsible for the "parentless" SGAs that have to strike out on their own just to be able to live a life they chose.
