Michael: I don't understand what you are trying to say here. Clear writing is a product of clear thinking. If you're still in TF and posting here, I'd your problem with clear thinking is self evident.
Do you mean to suggest that child abuse in the Family is no different than child abuse in the world? If that is your intended meaning, then you are needless confused about a very serious matter about which YOU should consider having some honest, Godly fear.
Nowhere in the world do people teach that having sex with children is OK with God if you have the faith for it. This is what Berg taught, and as a consequence, many children in TF were seriously injured. Sexual violation by an adult is not the kind of injury that a child can simply forgive and forget when s/he grows up. The wound goes far too deep and (in some cases) shatters the soul almost beyond reparation.
When it comes to the crime of beating children, failing to educate them, and exploiting them for their labor, I have expectations of people in the world that are based on rule of law and universal ethical principles. I apply those very same expectations and standards to people in the Family. One of the most dangerous ideas perpetrated by Berg & Zerby is that the rules that apply to everyone else on this planet don't apply to people in the Family, because they are God's elite. That idea is a pure sociopathic narcissism.
Simply put, Berg & Zerby promoted child abuse in every form, and they are criminals.
