That is a good explanation AG on what the difference of a terrorist and freedom fighter is. The lines seem to get blurred at times. Even in war, there are certain laws civilized nations usually abide by.
The founding of this nation does have its serious flaws, though I don't doubt the Indians caused a lot of grief. Of course, there were different types of Indians - the warrior ones and then there were the peace loving ones. Even in the area where I live there were different tribes that hated each other and no one had a real good reason why. It seems our deeper ugly side of human nature abides in all cultures and classes.
