No, it's not even socialized medicine. It's corporate medicine with a bit of government oversight to cut out greed so insurance companies can't just cherry pick healthiest clients and deny you when you need help. The way it hasn't wo r ked before: oftentimes workers got a lousy "free" hmo, or could choose to pay into their plan via auto deduction from paycheck for plans offering more flexibility. Then the trend over the past two decades has been to eliminate full time positions and people were taking two part time jobs to get by. This allowed businesses to insure no one or only a select few while the average worker or sometimes all their workers lost sick time, vacation, medical ins. All benefits. Our system h a s been broken for quite awhile. Do you really believe the Jesus you believe in would promote survival of the fittest a s a way to disorganize society?
