He's not really anti-American, he's pro-Grant Montgomery. Like all Family top leaders he is a self-serving hypocrite without any genuine convictions other than to feather his own nest.
He was willing to endorse and support all of Berg's and Maria's ridiculous dogma and policies just as long as he got a comfortable life out of it.
