What I've noticed, worldwide, is how multi cultural most Western countries are becoming. Not just Muslim influenced, but other cultures as well. I'm not against multi-culturalism as long as no one religion (or lack of religion) is targeted for elimination.
I do believe it is reasonable that France ruled to ban certain religious based head cover in their public schools. I guess part of what i am saying is, that if Islam is growing in such a way that people are fearing the influence of that religion, then rather than worrying about the spread of Islam, they need to check why the spread of their religion is dwindling. It isn't just immigrants bringing the culture of their country in. Many are converting having come from American education, typical religions (prominently Judeo-Christian). Why do you think that is?
In the sixties the attraction was to Eastern religions. I'm pretty out of touch with what Europe is like today.
