environment-protection has been an issue for me since I was a teenager...meaning, kind of 40 years back...I did already then protest against the chopping down of trees of an allee in Germany
I did already collect aluminium-foil, when there was no recycling-system for it, as it is now...in the end, I had to throw it in the normal garbage : (
There is one aspect about the environment-issue, a very personal one: fear...fear of survival
Then there is a political and economic one...some issues might also be faked by the bad boys...
Another angle is the personal greed of all the inhabitants of the earth, especially in the richer nations
Obama could do more...probably...but little has been done in the past...too little...but for that...everybody is accountable for.
Last not least, if you could care (pls.)...would hope for it...in the end of the book of revelations it does say, that God makes the earth new...that has been personally a super great comfort...no green or other party could give that to me.
