I'm also so glad you weren't number 5. And "long time exer" is absolutely right. You are not, nor would you have been just a number.
Whenever another exKid dies, especially through suicide, it feels to the rest of us like a punch in the gut, even if we don't personally know you. All of us are bound together by our common history, but we are also bound together by our suffering, in, and after TF. We know the ache that won't go away, the reality of having to make an active choice, not day by day, but hour by hour and minute by minute to keep living.
I know it sounds trite, but it DOES get better, though most of us need/needed help to make it through that process.
We currently have a safe, bully free, support group on facebook, initiated in response to the terrible way we started our year. Any SGA is welcome, whether they have resources to share, or are in need of resources and compassion, have been "out" a long time, or just a short while. Please feel free to email me if you'd like to be a part of it.
Wishing you the best, in any case, and am grateful you found help when you needed it most.
-Eli
