imo, there is nothing to be celebrated with regard to having been in the cult. But there is something to be celebrated regarding getting out and there is some sort of comfort possible in talking to other people that survived the same shipwreck. I can only account for my own experience within and I am not responsible for who David Berg was because I did not join the cult when child molestation became common knowledge or when FFing was in full swing and the group was clearly highly sexualized. Looking back, I can understand why I didn't just jump ship when Ffing started with flirtation and then turned into prostitution. There were so many factors that kept me in. Ones I see for what they were now. None of them were because of enjoyment of supposed freedom because to me, from my perspective, it was huge bondage and often meant "sharing" with people on demand that I would rather stick my face in the oven than "share" with, as far as how I felt about them. But "sharing" with the ones I was attracted to was the most painful because "sharing" meant being used for sex and nothing more. It sure wasn't about "love" or any "family of love".
