It wouldn't be a healthy group that would form with David Berg as the revered founder. After all, even before his inner core of strange truths were turned inside out for others to mimic or follow, the org. was a sick sick sick one and Berg was a molester from before COG was started. Early COG didn't know this except for a handful, but the control was there. The persecution skits, the buddy system, the reading of incoming and outgoing correspondence, telling people what to write or not write, purging sessions, people being dealt with for thoughts or minor 'transgressions', and then brutally humiliated, controlled coresspondence with parents and family outside of the fmaily. Forsaking all and many were dumped after being sheared of all their possessions. It was twisted from the start.
