From what I've read so far, it seems like Peter spends a lot of time justifying why the changes weren't made years ago. And it ends with something like even if we don't exactly know why God had us do it now and not years early he has his reasons and someday everyone will understand.
One change they aren't making, it seems to me, is that they are still maintaining their position as the spiritual leaders of the Fam. Another is the 10% tithe, I've only skimmed some of it but it looks like it's still required to be a member.
And for the ederly family members, he says the subject will be adressed in another publication. I don't think they have much to offer, how could they? They've got no pension plan, I would venture a guess that their counsel will be something like the children and grandchildren of these members will need to work out amongst themselves some kind of financial plan and work together chipping in stipends to send to their elderly parents and grandparents with some form of monthly support. Whatever it is it will be weak.
