The first generation could keep FG to avoid confusion, but need additional markers to denote when they joined, since age and experiences can roughly be gauged from this:
1960s FG
1970s FG
1980s FG
Alternately they could be referred to as "1Gs"
Second generationers could keep SG to avoid confusion. Alternately they could be referred to as "2Gs"
After that we should use:
3Gs
4Gs
5Gs
etc.
And if that isn't clear enough, we could use:
1st-G
2nd-G
3rd-G
4th-G
