Thanks for sharing your concerns...I could understand, that you'd feel hesitant about sending your/children in general there.True, TFers can be very "charming" and that's not something bad...I guess...in itself. If they do the other fundraising-activities, that's kind of a hint...they used to organise weddings e.g. also in the US.
"Strange".. though, that someone (male??) has brought into TF the ballet-skills (I knew a sister, who was pretty professional in it, that's now 25 years ago)...older or younger??For I wonder...if younger...if anyone could have had the time in TF to thoroughly learn that skill?Unless they had a new disciple with that skill.
I'd say, you could pass them the compliment and affirm, that they are indeed very nice and you could ask sometime the question, whether they are Christians and/or follow something altruistic/spiritual.They couldn't deny that...even if we exer think/are convinced, that they have a very weird type of Christianity, if at all....but they should answer the question positively and you can take it from there...asking where they fellowship etc, just out of "sheepish" curiosity.....depending whether you have basic/deeper knowledge about some dos/don'ts in Christianity...if not you could ask...may be on the journey-board??!!Anyway, if they fellowship, then hardly ever in a church-building...for they have neither time, funds nor conviction to build a "temple"...so they either have home-fellowships or rent something cheap/or getting it for free, something good/central located.
Also it should matter whether they are foreign or from your country/or the one you live in.
All I could think of for now...
Wish you all the best and no reasons to worry...
