And that permitted authorities in the jurisdiction where the crimes occurred to arrest, charge, and prosecute him.
Zerby still lives in hiding. Her crimes occurred all over the planet. Under what jurisdiction would she be arrested, charged and prosecuted?
In Noah Thomson's documentary, Davida Kelly talks about how the unit would move every six months because Berg was a known pedophile. This prevented arrest and prosecution.
Under U.S. federal and state laws, child sexual abuse has a statute of limitations. I think it's 5 years under federal law for most forms of CSA, although certain heinous acts are covered by the Adam Walsh law and have no statute of limitations. That means someone like Merry, Davida or Armendria would have had to have reported the crime within 5 years of its occurrence for Zerby & Kelly to be prosecuted under U.S. Federal law. In Merry's case, the statute ran out around 1993, about the time of the BI case in Great Britian, which was a civil trial, and not a criminal prosecution.
Berg, Zerby & company knew exactly what they were doing and how to get away with it.
