TFI can't/won't make the distinction between things that matter, can't/won't separate the nuances, because they are too insincere at heart.
Take censorship vs. retraction for example--they muddle the two. TFI taught everything from racism to sexual abuse to child abuse to kidnapping to draft dodging to tax evasion to outright lying to court and police authorities to prostitution to what have you. What do they have to say about all these teachings now?
Take just one example, prostitution: They haven't said that prostitution is wrong. They even denied ever condoning outright pimping and prostitution. They said conveiniently that it was all Berg's fault even though Zerby greased the wheels and pushed it all along. They said the odd handful of over-zealous girls may have gone overboard and prostituted themselves, but anyway, it all got risky because of AIDS, and so FFing had to stop. In other words, it's still not wrong, just no longer convenient. And since they no longer talk about it they'd like for you to stop bringing it up.
Another example, racism: Whole sections of outright racist comments about Jews, blacks and Africans were purged from Mo Letters. Does it mean those teachings were declared wrong and the errors redressed? No! It just means these teachings are now hidden from view. And behind closed doors, TFI still teaches anti-semitism and anti-Jewish conspiracy theory.
