I've never been a member in this cult but I've heard stories from someone I talk to who is still involved in TFI. Her stories are much the same as yours, she was born into it. Currently in a very bad selah where the leadership looks the other way about the things that happen that are even against their own laws.
Anyone supporting these people are just as much to blame as the people who do that actual deed. You seem to have a hostility pent up inside you and I can totally understand why that is. Don't let that control you because there are alot of good people left in the world. Don't let what happened to you there be your judgement to the christian faith.
The lies and half truths can snagged more than one weak minded person, berg as a person was an alcoholic. He got his inspirations while drinking often, just suprises me that anyone would believe the garbage that came out of his mouth.
Up until a year ago I hadn't even heard of TFI, now I know more than I care to and it sickens me that these things still go on in the USA and nobody questions it. They might question it but they still do nothing about it, how many stories can be told and people still turn the other cheek. These people have been on Dr. Phil, maury, and various other shows, yet nobody comes to prosecution
I'm genuinely sorry to hear what has happened to you involved in TFI, nobody should have to endure such atrositites. Only thing I could say to you is it's what you do now that will define the person you are. You made your way out and you still have your sanity, that's commendable. Don't let the actions of few destroy you.

Farmer is also a vast wealth of knowledge and very compassionate man too. I doubt you will find any here supporting TFI, but I'll be swingin right next to you if they try ;)
