Sounds to me like you're in a position to get to know the Family kids next door. It's great to hear they're in school. It's also good to hear they are being exposed to how other people live and are more or less welcome to visit in your home. They may seem weird, but I hope you'll keep your door open to these kids. Try not to let your resentment of their parents' lifestyle prejudice you against the kids--they didn't choose to be born into TFI. Small kindnesses can go a very long way, and you never know what seeds will take root and strengthen the character development of an at-risk kid.
