Some problems are foreseeable...

Posted by Farmer on June 09, 2009 at 04:05:24

...sometimes I wonder whether some art-directors are just "revolutionary"...super optimists...wishing, that problems just wouldn't happen (much the attitude of TF as well)...just wanting to provoke with their style and pushing the limits always a bit further...

Minis in the west aren't an issue since about 40 years...besides some public nudity, even sexual intercourse in public...for which..as far as I read it from examples...you'd get a fine here (only)...

Mind you, this is about Mumbai, which is also as "progressive"/western as you can get in India...Minis in India are not even that seldom...I don't know, what I micromini is exactly there...but I figure, every actor or director wishes to make themselves a name...seems at any cost often.

Yesterday I saw a documentary, how after WWII the allies, rather the Americans, tried to reeducate in terms of democracy the Germans via little films...they had send a good thousand otherwise destroyed/missing projectors to postwar Germany...

I think that's one of the known/unknown/hidden agendas of both Hollywood & Bollywood...not only to entertain, but also to "reeducate/channel/frame" the public mind a bit...this is my perception/objective...at least you see often a shift of virtues...they might come along with a "prior", little shift in society...but since artists etc. are claimed to be "progressive"...their style & thoughts are often adapted in a wider range...so it seems to me more often than not.
