Thank you, Observer, for your advice. I will check out the site you mentioned. I already gave some details in my previous post about how I found out that the student was in the cult and won't give any more details to preserve his privacy. I of course can't give out the name of the school. In fact, I have gotten private emails today from people on this forum specifically telling me not to give out the name of the school, since the site is monitored by the Family and it would be easy to determine who the child is if I told the school name. I actually think I have probably given out too much information already, as I didn't realize that the cult monitors this site.
Regarding your request to tell you more about myself, I was in a different cult for over four years and left there ten years ago. I took my daughter with me, and her father (my former husband) stayed behind and is still there. I successfully won full custody of her. I still advise and try to help people from this other cult, especially those who have left and want to rescue their children from the cult.
I taught in public schools for eight years, but now I teach exclusively online for three different schools. I certainly understand your desire to weed out deception, but I am truly here only because I want to help this child. I just wanted some advice about how to relate to the particular mindset of the child who is in this group.
