I feel confirmed & "satisfied" with the "little info" from him, that it wasn't neither for economic nor technical reasons...first, many would have helped out to get over with it...second one, she knows manifold enough plus her friends & peers, so gulp, as I assumed, it must be something else...I mean, there was even an anonymous poster "wellwell" who had the guts & nerve to say/reply very recently, @ 29.1., that he/she wasn't sorry, that Jules and many older ones, 2Gs, weren't @ anymore (too much censoring...happens on many websites...incl. youtube)...stuff like that would hurt, if she noticed it...I think the website went online 1999, or was booked then & the expiry date was in June/July...last update...change on the 29.1.2009....that means any decision to go off the net was more or less 5/6 month "early"...
I am far from the know, but if she would have just wanted to change the websitehost or some other service you can do that rather smoothly through back ups etc...I know websites who keep an updated mirror of their website somewhere else available, for safety/security, either known or hidden...so it's not very different from mirroring your HD or selectively copying your own files for preservation, safety.So as it depends on us at home whether we want to
keep something safe, preserving it...the same applies to information on the server HD...ultimately belonging to Jules (?) &/or if not paid...no idea..
but finances & technic wasn't the problem as we said...so the files, the info is safe for now, I'd suggest & may be movingon will go on the read only modus & people can then copy (print) what they want...you included : ) ...let's hope so

If nowadays you google for Julia McNeil...you get about that many different appearances/hits:

& the top appearance happens to be facebook...so I figure, if 2Gs approach her nicely...many probably have done that already...thus the first place appearance of facebook in connection with her name, as the most relevant hit in google-algebra...she could give more answers...as I am only doing some guesswork.
The line inserted in place of her picture/logo makes me curious & think: "stop me before I volunteer again"
If she can't answer at the moment...it might be, that a friend of a friend of hers etc....personally no avenue for me , for one I am FGA & second, till now it didn't draw me yet to facebook in all those year.
Anyway she's super special and I have lots of admiration for the amount of work she did & I join you: thank you Jules...
