I just read quickly through the Pearls website, and aside from this guys looks, there was really anything sinister I could detect. Just your average US style Christian weirdness. But if this guy has an arsenal of child torture instruments, then, yes, I agree, something is haywire. He would then fall into the alcoholic category I described in my post. Still no reason to frown on or outlaw friendly and good-natured spankings on a little rascals bottom to drive home an otherwise eluding point. :-) My spanking were always in that context and that context alone. I'm definitely a proponent of that approach. If the pearls practice abuse, we have the full resources of the legal system on our side to lock them away.
