LONDON: Dungeon dad Josef Fritzl claims that he was born to be a rapist', according to his leaked interviews.
He blames the life he had spent in seclusion because of his tyrannical mother for making him whatever he is today, the interviews reveal.
Fritzl is the Austrian builder who incarcerated his daughter Elisabeth in a cellar for 24 years and fathered seven children with her.
And now, his interviews with a forensic psychiatrist have surfaced, where the sex beast has revealed that he planned to lock up his daughter while he was in prison for another rape.
Fritzl was sentenced to 18 months in prison for brutally raping a 24-year-old woman at knifepoint in her home in 1967.
"I have realised that I had a mean streak. For someone who was born to be a rapist, I have managed to contain myself for a relatively long period," Times Online quoted Fritzl as telling the psychiatrist.
The 130-page report leaked to the tabloid newspapers Kronen Zeitung and Osterreich, also has Fritzl telling that he found the "ideal solution" to his deranged fantasies after he was released from prison.
That's when he decided to detain his daughter in the cellar so that he could "live out" his "evil side" and at the same time lead a seemingly normal life in the flat upstairs.
Dr Adelheid Kastner, a prominent forensic psychiatrist, compiled the report, after conducting indepth interviews with Fritzl.
In his confessions to the psychiatrist, Fritzl said that his relationship to women was a result of his experience with his abusive mother, who allegedly beat him and isolated him from other children till the time he started school.
Fritzl called himself an "alibi child," and said that his mother only had him to prove to her partner that she was not sterile.
Kastner concluded that Fritzl could distance himself from what he was doing by never looking his victim in the face when he raped her and
played down gravity of his crimes in his mind.
"He was not only incredibly able to lead a double life but also managed to maintain a triple life without any problems. Mr Fritzl resembles a volcano; under the surface that appears almost banal there is an evil streak. He is torn apart by his desires that he cannot master," wrote Kastner.
In the report, Fritzl has been declared clinically sane and fit for trial, but it also said that he suffers from a "severe combined personality disorder and a sexual disorder".
"It is to be expected that Mr Fritzl would perpetrate deeds with severe consequences also in the future," concluded Kastner.
Fritzl' trial is expected to start early next year.
