Hey thinker! thanks so much to you also, for the time you took to write this to me. everything you said feels very right & at the end of the day, i cannot control this situation nor change the past. all you have just said, rings sooo true to me.
just for the record, i have encouraged steve to communicate with his dad but to date, his father wont and doesnt want any contact with him. he wont tell him where he is and wont let him call him dad. for a long time i just assumed that pete was terrified of the hateful revenge i had for him & perhaps that was the reason why he cut his son off. i dont know what to say, (cuz ive had a little cry) other than thank you again for reminding me of the fact that im not the bad guy & educating me on the word forgiveness!
