There are inaccuracies in your chronology of events too. And nobody demanded that you keep your opinions to yourself. My statement to you re. singling out Joshua wasn't to pull you into debate, but an offering of what I believed would be a helpful explanation which I had previously witheld for Joshua's sake. But forgive me for mistaking you for actually caring about Joshua. Pretty disingenuous of you (your favorite word) in that regard then. I find you confusing, and there is no give and take with you. The only real message I'm getting from all this is: "don't mess with me or I'll play lawyer!"
You have trouble being moderated, period. By definition, being moderated means someone having the final authority to decide over you, and you have a big problem with that, which is only natural considering our baggage. But it seems for you, "moderator vs. moderated" = unequal privileges = inequality = unbalance = double standards.
So you think we do a bad job, and so you've said so many times now. OK, message received. Now here's mine, yet once more:
We do our best to be fair, and we will never be perceived as completely fair all of the time because A) we can't possibly please everyone B) we are human and C) we don't always have the time.
Unfortunately, no matter how we try, there will always be some people like you, who will think the worst about us. It's not that I have anything personal against you (I bear no grudges) but the only thing I can suggest in this situation when you think we are so incompetent and you are so unhappy with our free services and we are already doing our best: either accept that we're deficient or stay away.
I am geninely sorry, you perceive us as having double standards. You would never believe our scruples then, how stringent we are to apply on ourselves the rules we've set, or how much we endeavor not to abuse our positions of power through running this site.
