My non-American view and opinion, I agree with you 100. It is a phenomemon Swedes observe also. The cultural blindness is precise way to describe it. We are also surpise by the mix of religion and politics, cannot be seperated. Also how bad they have the care for week and poor.
How some countrees the people exchange freedom for richness, they are blind to what the goverment is really like so they can keep on continue without change.
Family is export of GI number one America knows best culture. That is the part of attraction!
Would be good to se a self critic capable American but maybe hes afraid they will call him traiter and ship him to guantanamo.
