"so please try to take off some of that edginess with the coordinators."

Fat chance of that. My edginess is part of what makes me who I am. I just say it the way I see it. Ban me or censor me if you want, but don't try to change me. I had enough of that in the cult.

Part of the problem of unfairness or inconsistency might be because different people post under the same name - Coordinator - something that is forbidden by everyone else here. Different rules for different people, which in itself can be a sensitive issue for some people recovering from a cult. But its your site to do with want you want so who am I to complain about that.

But as far as you wanting to cool things down here, I don't object to that given the way these boards are currently run, I only object to the double standard applied to my posts on the "youth" issue. If you had been even-handed, you would have also told the others to lay-off the Christian ministry talk on GenX.

Don has posted lots of stuff that I have never responded to. I just let him have his say without comment, even when his religiousity intruded into this space. But as I said, I was triggered by his latest posts which are highly offensive to me. He or anyone else can hardly blame me for opposing his views; after all, one of the most prominent features of Christianity is the division it causes wherever it is spread: "there was a division among the people because of Him".

Personally, I'd rather you switch to completely unmoderated forums similar to Movingon. Let people work these issues out themselves using whatever language they want - just distance yourselves as coordinators/owners of the site with a legal disclaimer. That way we could discuss anything we want, including partisan politics, which played such a huge role in the cult (remember Reagan's election), without being censored or told to lose your edge or to shut up.
