Yes, I guess I was shooting a bit from the hip with my angry language, but your posts in this thread disturbed me. Particularly your mention of "caring for the precious youth...I've been entrusted with" and "I have two services for my young people".

Not too long ago another poster got criticized here for expressing the idea of warning youth about the dangers of cults, yet from my perspective your posts about your "work" with youth is far more offensive. That your posts are deemed ok here and the others were not seems inconsistent and hypocritical to me. You think my language and tone has no place on these boards, and I think your posts about your "ministry" to youth has no place, especially on GenX.

By the way, who died and made you God that you get to decide who is a real Christian or not? Sorry pal, you don't get to decide that. Family members are Christian just like Mormons, Jehovah's, Adventists, Catholics, etc., are Christians. You can claim that none of those are "real" Christians, but then that will just show that you are a religious bigot.

Maybe I shouldn't have used the word "bullshit" to describe Berg's constant appeals for money, but I stand by the comparison I was making between that and your complaints in your posts about the lack of money for your "ministry". Here's what you wrote: "If the church was large enough and could afford to pay me I could be more efficient in my ministry..." and "I look forward to the time when I have a paid position where I will have more time to WORK in the calling I've been given."

I mean, how much more offensive can you get than posting such things on a site frequented by people who were exploited financially by their religious leaders. And then you complain when someone calls you out on it. Well, it's the hit dog that howls (that's a truism, not a Bergism, btw)

Maybe it will help if I define what I meant by "bullshit" in this context: a con job by a religious leader who convinces his flock to part with their hard earned money so that he or she can "minister" to them.
