Taking aside the strong words BC is using, I go along with his general message that as soon as money gets into the church equation, there should be strong, clear and transparent account of every penny. The problem is that neither TF nor most churches do this.
When the Bible admonishes to be good stewards, stewardship doesn't end in the giving something away but in the seeing that it is going the most good it can do. Which mean participatory decision making and auditing of finances - including asking the pastor why he gave a USD 5,000 diamond ring to his wife.
As I said before, if the pastor is no shepherd if he has a higher standard of living of most of his sheep.
