Well, you had won me about "halfway" ; ) so to speak with that nice new term...the reason why I couldn't agree fully also in my first reply was for the simple reason: I still think the christian way (& like it that way...ooops...no offence meant) & you can't have Jesus as a Messiah & "Berg at the same time"...so if we e.g. talk about messianic Jews, then those are contemporary people of Israel or Jews living elsewhere, who have come to the faith in Jesus as being the predicted Messiah...I have been on Jewish websites, where they intend to counter exactly that point: how was Jesus anointed...by whom? etc.

Sure, there have been many false Messiahs around, so the whole messianic term/subject became rather inflationary...but frankly, I didn't want to make it more inflationary than need be...that's why I like prophetic etiquette or prophet's etiquette
better...may be just a matter of preferance, but I wasn't arguing against the implications of that word or what you cited.I actually thought to have supported it...& I also argued, that certain things are expected of a Christian,...so when he finally did minister to the hated Hippies, he overcame his own weaknesses, we actually all have, & later when the story became successful of course he could sell that little point of history.

But you know, I think we have to hand it to Berg: it takes quite some "crazyness"/desperation to
"accept" to be the David of the end...there is a precious Italian friend we had while still in Italy...she considered joining, but really was also concerned about this David of the end stuff...one day she had prayed about that & then told us/me to my surprise, that she didn't think, that D.B. was that David of the OT-prophecies...that boldness of that woman really amazed me...it was one crucial stepping stone for me out of TF.
