Younger people associated with TFI resent being patronized by older people about what their generation needs to know, do, feel, or think. People raised in TFI were routinely treated in a condescending manner and talked down to by older adults running the cult.
It sucks to up in a strict hierarchy where you're always at the bottom of the pecking order and constantly reminded of your lesser status. It doesn't matter if an older person has no conscious intention of sounding like he's condescending to a younger person in a post. If a person raised in TFI experiences it that way, it's a trigger.
