If his mother is married to the girl's uncle, she is her boyfriend's cousin.
The cause of concern in marrying close relatives, is genetic defective offspring. Babies can be born with physical, mental or both types of disabilities.
Even though royal families marry 2nd and 3rd cousins, they still have some defective children. Queen Elizabeth has two disabled sisters, who most people have never known about.
