I agree with the articles you posted. I live in a city where a major hospital was shut down (psych hospital) after lawsuits were brought against it by former patients and their parents. This hospital was the hot bed for the popular (at the time) hunt for survivors of "satanic cults" and patients were being manipulated to reveal numerous (sometimes in the multiple 100's) personalities and all related to some sinister well organized Satanic Cult. Therapists and DR.'s were using hypnosis to suggest trauma relating to satanic ritual and to create alternate personalities. For one thing, it was a huge cash cow because it meant long term treatment.
I think it is sad that people be accused of false memory or exagerrating when, if anything, survivors of rape, abuse and incest tend to under-exagerate their trauma. Same for survivors of cults.
