"You can often tell if someone understands how wrong their actions are by the lengths to which they go to rationalize them."
That is the opening sentence of a NYT editorial today. I won't link to it here as the editorial is political, and that is not my point in posting it. Rather, I was reminded of how TF justifies many of its doctrines with lengthy rationalizations. Most notably the Law of Love, where they published at least 12 GNs in 1998 devoted solely to convincing members of its validity despite all the abuses committed under its banner.
