Here is another interpretation of what I read about coerced sex and risky behavior.
Corporal punishment instilled the need "to tell the truth and be honest". The high numbers of those who acknowledge being punished is in response to the learned behavior. Maybe there a large number of respondents are also sexual caterpillars but do not acknowledge it because they had no corporal punishment and did not learn "to tell the truth and be honest".
Risky behavior is also associated to education, thus socio economical status. I don't read any control or interest to control for this issue. Corporal punishment is also frowned in some social strata thus most likely to be underreported there.
