Be careful when you say things like "age is not the determining factor". After all, that is part of Berg's Law of Love doctrine, that age has nothing to do with it. But age does matter and is the determining factor for many things: driver's license, age of consent, voting, military, leaving school, etc., etc., etc. It seems to me that if 16 is too young to join the military or to vote, then it is too young to join a cult.
It is not ludicrous at all to suggest that religion is at the root of society's problems. That's my opinion. And who said anything about the "libertine respect for all behaviors". Now that IS ludicrous, and it is disingenuous of you to suggest I do that. Furthermore, I don't know of any secularists who try to take away the moral compass of anyone, and it's ridiculous for you to infer that I do. Merely expressing my own opinions regarding religion and the Bible is not in any way denying people their right to believe what they want.
The problem I have trying to debate religionists like you is that they constantly through up straw men and red herrings and various other disingenuous modes of arguing. I could write a book, oh wait many have already been written, rebutting your claim that religion is wise and moral.
