You are right. It is yet another attempt to re-write their history.
Notice that Karen Z is not to blame at all, only the dead dad person. We all know that she was the one who had control over the publications. In fact, didn't one letter explain how the drunk profiteer original words were so bad in English and difficult to understand that she had to make up (by the spirit, of course!) some of the words. Then those had to go to an editor who made some more changes and then after proofreading she would get them back to make sure all was (again) in the spirit.
And she does not apologize at all. Maybe one day she, just like her dead lover, will blame god for all those things.
