I can relate with both of you; that is, I don't like anybody telling me what I must do, yet, I'm not uptight about it. I have been turned-on to a lot of good reading from you all on this site, but I was a member of the fam. from '71-'73, and (Thank God!!) got away before I ever was exposed to any kind of abuse, sexual or otherwise.
I won't read the book about the cult, as I don't really care to go there, but the books by Philip Pullman interest me a lot. At my public lib. the Dark Materials books were out, but I found one, The Smoke in the Ruby (?), and I liked it a lot!
