Sarcasm has its place in the world of free speech, but it's really hard to pull off on an internet bulletin board like this, particularly when you're newly acquainted with the personalities who post here and the issues being addressed are so explosive.
I've made lots and lots of mistakes over the years learning how to communicate with exFamily survivors. What I generally do when I'm aware of having triggered someone is apologize, and/or leave off reading the website for a while and take a break from posting.
You've shown a lot of courage and maturity in your conversations with us. Please don't give up altogether on trying to engage in a dialog with people at this website. But just as I do, you may find taking a "time out" helpful.
