The posts I have read deal for the most part on issues related to whether the parents "deserve" to be granted a special treatment. I am not judging one way or another, only trying to state the facts as I see them.
The question provides an incomplete context but the answers and comments have dealt mainly with attempts to answer it. It shows a very good hearted attitude but the answers have to assume a lot. The general terms of the question difficult the issue: Can this person, given the little information that was provided, get some/all the names erased from web pages...?
The comments I read are very inquisitive because there are unknowns. I think somebody else said that we don't know anything about the people in question, are they responsible of something really big or just your common foot soldier as the vast majority? Another gap comes from whether they have really left TF and teachings, etc. or are they still lending them some support?
All of these gaps are important and are related to the original question.
But it seems to me that we should be asking more about the object (the parents) of the question itself to make a better judgment on the particulars of the case. In fact, if the parents were to come, identify themselves and discuss these issues with us, they might come out even cleaner than what they are and maybe want to keep their names in the public eye.
We are answering hypothetical assumptions instead of dealing with the question itself within its whole context.
