I would not say it quite the same and with the words you use but the fact you are pointing out is because of how this story developed.
It is the children who came to ask about it because they don't think it is fair. The parents probably don't see how their names, internet links, etc. are negatively influencing the children's quest for better jobs, opportunities, etc.
When the children asked, we started answering and trying to deal with the situation. There is much to understand there, including how a search for the parent's names is done when the children are looking for jobs. The discussion is not dealing with the context of the question but with the dilemma in answering the question.
I don't think the parents have sent their children to do "their dirty work". I think it is more a concern that the children have, and may also be about their parents too. There is no need to judge harshly.
However, one can wonder why the parents have such a hard time condemning The Family and Berg's teachings and all of that.
