Well, (as a FGA) I just wanted to say I to a large en extent agree with the principles in this and the (your) following posts in this thread. (I do NOT see you merely as someone trying to mete out harsh judgment to others who are ignorant of what they have earned. You are expressing factualities, even if I do not necessarily share all your related passions.)
Only thing is, cause and effect, action and responsibility, this is always present in any setting anywhere and as such really has nothing to do with Social Darwinism, philosophy, ideology or whatever in that field.
It is natural law that practically everything is based on, yes, (and here I disagree with you) even the principles of the ‘Kingdom of God’. Providing you ‘repent’ (as you put it) the ‘clean slate’ you talk about is brought to you by someone – and let me hasten to say - it was not without cost. Someone took responsibility and paid up.
But true, for some reason (???) in TF there is often a tendency to act the innocent and surprised victim when something you have earned comes your way. The reason for this is (often) ignorance of the various contract settings one enter into on a daily basis.
