to all SGAs, who had the grace to post here...it is really touching, as I am aware of how difficult emotionally it was/is for many (all?) to have FGAs around, even just on a website & I did make that mistake at movingon...I do admire all of you for your bravery & in many ways - positively, non-ironically - you're very special people.Please allow me to say, that I felt that way also in TF, when I observed the children...having long been without children myself (not mated)...of others.I always felt, they are extremely well behaved kids.Sad to say you didn't get the education people should have on this planet (rather third world standard or worse)...but you remember...1993??...sigh...
Anyway, I have a question: In the newspaper - critique/review of Noah's film in the summarising last paragraph the writer says, that a good many SGA (the majority in the film intervieweed) just hope to have a good relationship with their parents/Dads etc....for me that is really touching....(the ones who helped me the most were my parents...not the system....I had to hoof it myself....I don't think it is that difficult to start all over again...financially...compared with the s..t you have to clear your mind from...
but then again it depends also where on this planet you have to start all over, with how many in your direct family).....BACK TO MY QUESTION...sorry...is that a general stance of SGAs to reconcile with their family/parents...to have finally, for what is left of life, a decent family life....but isn't there also a bit of a division line among the SGAs: there are others, kids of leaders or die hard ones/sold out
"forever" members, where they gave up hope (except for a tiny fraction), that their parents would come to the right sensens.Isn't there also the "revenge"/justice-fraction, who want for all the perpetrators, where a case can be construed & filed, that final justice is being meted out...understandably IMO...that however makes it difficult to meat the dreams of any SGA, who happens to be a child of such parent & finds itself in the situation of having to have meetings only in prison....furthermore is there some evidence, that in many cases the sexual abusers were their parents themselves...as I get some clues in that direction from movingon-posts??
There was recently a post about that of a SGA-woman, wo could find all kinds of things wrong with her own mother & all the things she neglected to do or did...in the end, will she sue
her?...I didn't get that impression.
Probably it's difficult to get the proper percentage/relationship of how many want to sue & how many want to "give up the fight"...but isn't it the general picture???
