A few years ago, a number of edits removing lots of information from the Children of God article on Wikipedia were made from IP addresses used by the Family Care Foundation. There were also similar edits made from IP addresses used by Claire Borowik and Lonnie Davis.
I have heard of the wiki scanner but haven't actually been able to visit http://wikiscanner.virgil.gr/ because it was apparently slashdotted.
It does have a number of limitations:
1. It only tracks edits by those who are not logged in at Wikipedia and thus publicly reveal their IP address.
2. Many organizations use IP addresses that are not listed under their name in the ARIN database.
3. The scanner can easily be bypassed by several methods including only making edits while logged in, using a proxy server and making edits from an IP address for which their is no publicly available information connecting it to the organization in question.
