Actually, Thinker, I would prefer the Nuremberg model myself. Of course it would have a brain and not be a one-size fits all (sorry not to fit in too well with your stereotype of blood-thirsty Vandari SG's). Do you think every German collaborator even stood trial at Nuremberg? And do you think Nuremberg is widely condemned? If so, do tell by whom.
There is only one conclusion to be found here: the only people fit to bear the cost of the child abuse are those who were abused as children. All your outrage, Phoebe, child, whatever, is anonymous cant.
Before I leave, would it matter to those admirable posters who managed to get their kids out before "the camps" if YOUR kids had not been so timely extracted? Where would you draw the line at what justifies rage when it goes 100% unaddressed and unredressed?
Some people take it too damn personally when people try to point out that the consolation they deserve might not be deserved by child rapists (even if...even if...they are so damn maudlin they retroactively script their past according to their current sensibilities).
So, maybe, maybe it would matter to you, if we had been your kids (and then your parenting is accordingly lauded).
Weare so rude, anyway. We, each "nobody's child" of the Children of God. I will leave, as it was very rude to have lived to tell and even more rude and audacious to post on your site and to voice the despair that a lack of reckoning brings.
TRC would be *something*, but it turns out you speak of it as a hypothetical and only wish for continued status quo nothing. Not a suggestion for concrete actions to bring "some justice, some peace". When the despairing or angry ones die, then you wring your hands and mourn us. Some will get their (empty) turn.
Let me just tell those who abused that we pathetic abused children of "The Family of [yeah right you are not my Family now that I am out you were just your own misguided parents' family] Love" ain't so darned original in our feelings.
Go try your luck at, say, a SNAP conference and sell your "seem to understand very well youshould never condemn yourself for what you knew and did then, based of what you know now, and on who you are as an empowered human being now." Go see what actions *they* call "murder".
But this is your space so I will go.
Piece out.
