There's no question that fewer people will copy and paste a URL than will click a hyperlink (and I for one think Thorwald was a little harsh).
Personally, I find that article (which Peter F., who is the man, dug up and posted) to be very interesting because not only does it explicitly state what was happening at MWM (as opposed to just sanctioning actions), but it also gives exact ages. (10 years old? And you're publishing this!?)
